The Yang Lab in Department of Surgery at St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our translational research team.
The research focuses targeting splicing factors to enhance the efficacy of immunotherapy. This work is highly mechanistic and translational leveraging cutting-edge genetic epigenomic and pharmacologic tools in patient-derived xenografts and genetically engineered mouse models to inform better immunotherapies for treating high-risk neuroblastoma.
Key Responsibilities
Design and conduct experiments investigating the role of epigenetic regulators in regulating therapy resistance.
Utilize molecular cellular and biochemical techniques including CRISPR scRNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics flow cytometry and 3D tumor modeling.
Analyze how epigenetic modulation alters chromatin states and cell state transitions.
Evaluate preclinical efficacy of molecular glue drugs in combination with standard therapies.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including cancer biologists and clinicians.
Present findings at national and international meetings and contribute to manuscript preparation and grant proposals.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. (or nearing completion) in molecular biology cancer biology biochemistry developmental biology immunology or related fields.
Strong background in cancer therapy immunotherapy is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills critical thinking and a collaborative mindset.
A strong publication record demonstrating scientific rigor and productivity.
