Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactiveOnline Swatch & Retouching Assistant to join our Photo StudioRetouching Department on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a critical administrative role that manages the entire image production process ensuring all visual assets are delivered on time and to our high standards.
About the Role:
This position serves as the operational backbone of our retouching function by meticulously managing and maintaining the end-to-end image and sample workflows. You will be responsible for the logistical handling of physical samples which includes daily collection from co-ordination teams detailed tracking of their movements organising their dispatch to external suppliers and overseeing their timely return. You will also manage the digital workflow for these assets inputting detailed image data into our central database (such as Asana) and ensuring accurate file naming and preparation for both print and web applications.
A key part of the role is acting as the central communication and co-ordination hub for the team. You will be the primary point of contact for all retouching and sample queries working closely with both in-house teams and external repro houses. You must demonstrate exceptional deadline management executing processes efficiently and managing volumes to meet the demanding deliverables. You will also work closely with the Retouch Team Lead to co-ordinate all enquiries directed to the team.
Furthermore the role involves vital quality control and brand alignment. You will be responsible for image colour management which requires you to identify accurate and consistent colour across our full suite of images identifying any that require colour work. You will also prepare imagery with detailed comments and ensure all final assets maintain strict brand alignment even annotating campaign imagery with repro comments prior to delivery to retouchers.

- Experience with or an understanding of image formats resolution file preparation for web and managing complex file naming conventions.
- You are a proactive and solution-oriented self-starter with a can-do attitude and the ability to show initiative.
- You are an excellent team player with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A professional and positive attitude with a strong work ethic along with the ability to receive and implement feedback constructively.
- Previous experience working within a retouching or photo studio environment is desirable.
