Job Summary
Niantics UX Design team builds innovative mobile experiences for tens of millions of users worldwide encouraging discovery exercise and meaningful social experiences.
The Pokémon GO team is growing! Were hiring a UX Designer to help us deliver the next wave of experiences for our players. The team partners closely with peers across game design art product and engineering teams to champion the best interests of our broad player base through the design of intuitive engaging and usable user interfaces.
Were looking for someone who is a strong voice for the player applying both intuition and data-informed research to craft intuitive solutions for player-facing experiences. You are able to internalize existing design patterns and apply them to new designs. When called upon you are comfortable presenting your designs to peers and accepting of constructive feedback. You have an iterative collaborative approach to your process and have high attention to detail for aspects of your work.

Responsibilities
- Lead UX design efforts from concept to implementation for one or more player facing experiences
- Develop mockups wireframes prototypes and detailed design documentation to clearly describe interaction flows and design concepts.
- Clearly communicate UX designs to all stakeholders.
- Actively participate in team rituals to conceptualize and brainstorm new features.
- Incorporate user research and player insights into all stages of design exploration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members and partners including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.
- Required in-office 3 days on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday.
Qualifications
- 3 years or equivalent experience in UX design for consumer-facing products with a portfolio of shipped features/titles and personal projects.
- Experience with wireframing and prototyping in Figma collaboratively using shared design libraries and patterns.
- Familiarity with mobile UX design patterns applied in gaming fitness or activity-related experiences
- Experience designing implementation-ready UX mockups and flows for the purposes of dev implementation
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to generate a breadth of solutions for a given area.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications including asynchronous interactions with others.
Plus if...
- You have experience implementing or manipulate UI elements in Unity.
- You have Japanese and English language proficiency.
