An Executive Legal Assistant (ELA) provides high-level administrative and legal support to executives assisting with schedules communications and day-to-day operations that often include confidential or legal matters. The role requires strong organizational communication and analytical skills as well as professionalism discretion and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calendar & Scheduling: Manage executive calendars schedule meetings and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Legal & Document Support: Prepare review and maintain contracts agreements and other legal correspondence.
- Communication Management: Draft and handle emails phone calls and formal communications on behalf of executives or legal counsel.
- Meeting Coordination: Organize meetings prepare agendas and supporting materials take minutes and follow up on action items.
- Document Preparation: Conduct legal and administrative research and compile reports or summaries for executive review.
- Office & Project Management: Support legal and compliance projects track deliverables and maintain organized digital filing systems.
- Confidentiality & Discretion: Handle sensitive legal personnel and organizational information with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a professional point of contact between executives attorneys vendors and organizational leaders.
- Event Planning: Coordinate executive or board meetings trainings and compliance-related events.
- Problem-Solving & Decision Support: Provide timely information and insights to assist with executive and legal decision-making.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of legal terminology documentation and administrative processes
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office Google Suite etc.)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- High level of professionalism and discretion
- Experience with travel coordination and event planning
- Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with executives clients and teams
