Requirements:
Six months Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.
If interested in 1st shift must be able to work as early as 4 am.
Most of our positions arefour hour shifts so must be willing to workfourhour shifts M-F and every third weekend.
Availabilityto train1st shiftM-F full time hours for 2 weeks
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required
50% of the work is done on a computer- orders registration data entry etc.
Abilityto type 40 words per minute.
ASCP certification for Phlebotomy (must obtain certification within one year of hire) preferred.
Phlebotomist/Registration: Working in a single assigned work area provides specimen collection registration and processing services to patients in the main hospital outpatient lab draw stations and mental health and skilled nursing facilities at off-site locations and clinics. High volume work 50% of duties involve computer utilization with targets to meet. Provides clerical support to the Pathology Department and other duties as assigned.
Main Hospital Inpatient Phlebotomist
At the main hospital servicing inpatients processing and registration of samples received from physician offices for testing.
