Job Summary

What Youll Do

The Game Day Operator is responsible for setting up and managing all game day events for the Avenues Athletics program. Roles and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Setting up of all home games (in the Avenues gym) including team chairs scoreboard spectators areas music necessary signs and roped off areas; collaborating with the Equipment Manager as necessary
Greeting opponents and directing them to their designated location
Overseeing the score table and managing the score book and/or game clock
Ensuring there is sufficient coverage and support at home games
Updating Avenues Athletics social media throughout the game and posting final scores
Collecting scores and submitting that information to the master score database

Qualifications :

What Youll Bring

The Game Day Operator will bring all or most of the following:

A strong understanding of the scoring system used in basketball and volleyball
Knowledge of the rules and regulations of both sports; previous firsthand experience with either sport a plus
Excellent organization and communication skills (verbal and written)
A team player - you can work well with student athletes parents faculty and the Athletics department staff members
Enthusiasm commitment patience and a passion for teaching the games
Ability to work during required hours anywhere between 3:30 PM-8:00 PM and during our two Aviator Classic weekend tournaments

Game Schedule:

Games occur throughout the school year across three seasons:

Winter Season: Basketball - November 12 2025 - February 20 2026
Spring Season: Volleyball - April 8 2026 - May 15 2026

Additional Information :

This is a part time and seasonal position that is paid at an hourly rate between $18.00-$20.00. The hourly rate will vary depending on your previous experiences and skills.
