As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Technology team you will be part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing designing and delivering software components for the firms cutting-edge technology products in a secure stable and scalable manner. As a developing member of the software engineering team you will implement software solutions by designing developing and troubleshooting various components within technical products applications or systems while acquiring the skills and experience necessary for career growth in your role
Job responsibilities
- Executes standard software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting
- Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
- Designs develops codes and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
- Develops Tests and debugs automated software deliverables for Applications Systems and or Infrastructures
- Troubleshoots minor incidents contributes to blameless post-mortems
- Engages within the SRE team throughout the software development and participates in major code contributions.
- Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
- NoSQL Cassandra DB (Analyzes designs engineers installs configures and supports Database Management systems (distributed midrange mainframe) in support of business technology requirements; Includes an in depth knowledge of a core database technology and its internals plus knowledge of development practices and automated solutions with focus on customer self-service through API enablement provisioning resiliency and database performance
- Provide Production support with ITIL Process
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2 years applied experience
- Strong NoSQL experience on Cassandra
- Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
- Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
- Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- AWS Certification /Exposure to cloud technologies
