Job Summary | Rensselaer at Work is accepting applications for Adjunct faculty. Adjunct appointments are part time and are made for a single semester at a time. Appointments are contingent upon available funding enrollment satisfactory performance and the business needs of Rensselaer at Work. All appointments are renewable. |
Minimum Qualifications | Candidates are expected to possess a terminal degree typically a Ph.D. in an area relevant to the subject matter and be able to provide evidence of effective teaching.
An Adjunct classification is a non-tenured temporary academic appointment. An Adjunct Faculty must have the prerequisite academic teaching experience and credentials in the course subject area and discipline. |
Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities | In addition to deep knowledge of the subject matter being taught applicants must be skilled communicators in multiple settings and methods including teaching presenting writing and electronic communications. Candidates are expected to be proficient in current electronic devices and personal computing technology. |
