These efforts are monitored and assessed regularly to ensure accountability to all Lower School Academy at Lawrence High School serves students who are making the transition from a variety of public and private middle schools in the City of Lawrence. We recognize the importance of the early high school years as a launching point to a school career where students are supported in reaching their highest academic and extracurricular High Schools Lower School is seeking exceptional educators and support staff to join our 9th and 10th grade teams who possess a growth mindset value collaboration and continuous feedback are passionate about their content and have an unwavering belief that all students are capable of meeting rigorous academic expectations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities-Knowledge Skills and Abilities:Follow all rules policies and procedures of the Lawrence Public Schools along with state and federal regulations pertaining to special educationPresent self in a professional manner in dress conduct and behaviorMaintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality with students and other professionalsMaintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA regulationsSeek out and actively engage in professional development activitiesBecome familiar with IEPs and assist with execution of goals and accommodationsMonitor and engage with students at all times during work hours unless directed otherwiseBe familiar with lesson plans and duties associated with them for each lessonWork with individuals and/or small groups to deliver special education servicesImplement de-escalation skills behavior management strategies behavior intervention plan and crisis intervention as neededProperly document serious student incidentsCommunicate with ancillary providers as directedBe familiar with and facilitate lesson plans and duties associated with them on an as needed basisPerform related duties as requested as needed by teacher or administratorAs part of the job requirements and responsibilities the Crisis Intervention Aide must maintain yearly Crisis Intervention Prevention (CPI) and/or Safety Care training and certification.
