Job Summary
A thriving and inclusive secondary school in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a dedicated and well-organised Science Technician to join their Science Faculty for an immediate start. About the Role
The Science Technician plays a vital role in ensuring that practical Science lessons run safely efficiently and smoothly. You will work closely with teachers and the Head of Science to prepare apparatus resources and chemicals for lessons across KS3KS5 ensuring experiments are engaging relevant and well-supported.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and setting up practical equipment and demonstrations
Supporting teachers during lab activities where necessary
Ensuring safe storage handling and disposal of chemicals
Maintaining stock levels and ordering supplies
Keeping laboratories clean organised and well-maintained
Liaising with teaching staff and the technician team to anticipate lesson needs
This is a hands-on varied role that requires initiative attention to detail and a calm supportive presence.
