SEN Teaching Assistant Brent

Hours: Full-time 8:30 am 3:30 pm
Wayman Education is looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistantto join a warm inclusive and supportive Primary School in Brent.
This is a long-term position working closely with a pupil who has additional learning needs and may sometimes present challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will be patient empathetic and passionate about helping children thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs ensuring they feel included engaged and confident in lessons.
- Build positive trusting relationships to promote independence and progress.
- Assist the class teacher with day-to-day activities helping to maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment.
- Understand and respond to a range of needs from mild to complex.
- Follow detailed EHCPs and collaborate closely with the SENCO and wider school team.
- Work flexibly across EYFS to KS2 as needed.
What Were Looking For
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar setting.
- A calm patient and compassionate approach with strong relationship-building skills.
- The right to work in the UK.
- A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
- Two professional references.
