Job Summary
A leading mine is looking for a Mine Captian who will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of underground mining activities within their designated section of the gold mine. This role involves leading and supervising a team of miners ensuring adherence to safety regulations optimizing production and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce all safety regulations and procedures ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Investigate and report all safety incidents and accidents.
- Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Plan and schedule daily mining activities to meet production targets
- Supervise and direct the work of miners and other underground personnel
- Monitor production performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure efficient utilization of mining equipment and resources.
- Lead motivate and mentor a team of miners.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment.
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of mining equipment.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering
- Valid Blasting license
