UH Common Scholarship Administration & System Scholarship Oversight
*Updates annual common scholarship electronic system and application and develops new electronic features as needed (e.g. transcript upload UH single sign on Banner integration).
*Coordinates closely with financial aid staff at all campuses in managing the common scholarship electronic system to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
*Administers and manages promotion selection & communication of UH System scholarships.
Updates selections & re-awards as needed by utilizing Banner data and common scholarship application system and coordinates awardee information with campuses.
*Works collaboratively with staff from financial aid offices UH Foundation and as appropriate other offices programs faculty and administrators to establish new or update existing scholarships in the common scholarship electronic system.
*Assists students applying through the UH common scholarship application via email telephone and outreach events.
Identifies analyzes and resolves/troubleshoots problems utilizing Banner data and common scholarship application system. Escalates to supervisor as necessary to ensure resolution.
*Manages the review and maintenance of scholarship gift agreements and other UH System scholarship documents reports etc.
*Provides operational guidance for the common scholarship system and process to financial aid staff at all campuses. Provides training to campuses regarding scholarship administration and selection.
*Provides System guidance and support for the Regents and Presidents Scholarship (RAPS) program including serving as point of contact for 4-year campus admissions and administrative offices.
Report Generation & Support
*Serves as primary UH System person to work with the UH Foundation on donor/scholarship reporting.
*Collaborates with supervisor common scholarship technical staff and Banner technical staff on report generation for scholarships and other financial aid programs.
Creates Banner reports as needed for financial aid projects and initiatives.
*Compiles UH System common scholarship application reports.
Prepares annual report on the RAPS program to be submitted to the legislature.
Collaborates with other system and campus offices as needed to generate reports for financial aid data and program analysis.
Manages other reports and assists supervisor in gathering data for new financial aid program initiatives as needed.
Assist with UH System Scholarship Management
*Collaborates with supervisor and campus financial aid officers on system scholarships and provides technical assistance as needed.
Creates Banner reports as needed for system scholarships and other initiatives.
Provides support for Banner and KFS scholarship data management and analysis.
*Identifies analyzes and resolves/troubleshoots scholarship issues. Escalates to supervisor as necessary to ensure resolution.
Other Management Assistance & Support
Works with supervisor on UH System special projects and new initiatives
*Maintains UH System financial aid office website and UH System scholarships website under the direction of supervisor.
Keeps abreast of current financial aid regulations and financial aid information systems pertaining to functional areas of responsibility.
*Communicates effectively and works closely with campus financial aid offices and representatives of other campus and UH System departments (e.g. Admissions Records Business Office etc.).
