Job Summary

Diesel Technician

Overview

Reporting to the Service Manager Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting diagnosis and repair of the trucks or equipment in the shop or field environment while maintaining an acceptable level of productivity.

Responsibilities

Includes but is not limited to

  • Perform a variety of repairs on various diesel truck systems including but not limited to engines transmissions chassis suspensions body and brakes according to specifications.
  • Use OEM software tools and technologies to maintain diagnose and complete repairs to promptly address and resolve customer vehicle or equipment concerns.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to safety protocols including the use of PPE

Candidate Knowledge

  • Mechanical knowledge
  • Basic automotive systems hydraulic systems and off-road equipment and components
  • Must have computer experience including Microsoft Office email and internet
  • CDL B (Preferred)
  • Must have a valid drivers license and transportation Class A (Preferred)
  • Cummins engine experience (Preferred)
  • Allison and Eaton transmission experience (Preferred)

Hours

  • Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 5pm & Friday 7:30am to 4pm
  • Some overtime as needed
