Job Summary

Job Title: Customer Service Associate / Dispatcher

Location: Springdale AR (Onsite)
Contract Duration: 3 Months
Pay Rate: $21/hr
Schedule:

  • Shift Option 1: SundayTuesday every other Saturday 8:00 PM 8:00 AM
  • Shift Option 2: WednesdayFriday every other Saturday 8:00 PM 8:00 AM
  • Training: MondayFriday 7:30 AM 4:30 PM (approximately 3 weeks onsite)

Position Summary

The Customer Service Associate/Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating communication and workflow between carriers customers and internal sales/logistics teams. This role requires strong problem-solving ability high-volume email communication and the use of multiple dispatch and scheduling systems to ensure timely and efficient delivery operations. This is a floating role supporting multiple shifts and may require coverage during nights early mornings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned carrier and customer accounts.
  • Review incoming communications identify needs and provide prompt accurate responses.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Use dispatch and load management systems to monitor shipments and resolve delivery issues.
  • Work within various external scheduling platforms to coordinate appointment times and transportation needs.
  • Understand internal policies operating procedures and workflow systems.
  • Troubleshoot logistics issues to provide cost-effective and customer-focused solutions.
  • Develop and recommend process improvements to enhance service and efficiency.
  • Represent the organization professionally in all customer interactions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business logistics supply chain or related field OR equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 13 years of business transportation logistics or customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Outlook (high-volume email handling).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict multitask and work under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Positive professional demeanor with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

Experience with transportation dispatch or logistics systems such as:
TES LME FourKites OTR Retailix Retail Link UNFI One Network or similar platforms.
