Summary:
An established Aviation MRO company is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee daily stockroom operations and ensure efficient accurate and compliant handling of aircraft parts materials and tooling. This role plays a key part in keeping production on schedule and maintaining compliance with FAA and AS9100 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily stockroom activities including receiving storing issuing and returning engine parts consumables and tooling.
* Lead train and schedule stockroom team members to meet production and compliance goals.
* Maintain accurate inventory records using Quantum; perform cycle counts audits and resolve discrepancies.
* Work closely with production engineering and quality teams to ensure material availability and minimize downtime.
* Monitor shelf-life items and manage traceable serialized and hazardous materials.
* Support audits and ensure full compliance with FAA EASA and AS9100C standards.
* Identify and implement process improvements to optimize material flow and space utilization.
* Promote a safe and organized work environment aligned with OSHA and company safety policies.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics or related field preferred.
* 3-5 years of experience in stockroom warehouse or materials management.
* Prior supervisory or lead experience required.
* Experience in Aviation MRO or aerospace industry strongly preferred.
* Proficient in Quantum and Microsoft Office.
* Working knowledge of FAA requirements and aviation material traceability standards.
* Experience managing warehouse operations of $10M in inventory value is a plus.
