Summary
The psychometristsassistsin the administration and scoring of psychological tests. They may also depending on licensure and scope of practice provide a limited amount of direct clinical services including assessment and psychotherapy.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Staff will provide patient care treatment and services within the scope of their license certification or registration and as required by law and regulation.
Performs the following duties under the supervision of a licensed psychologist:
Administers neuropsychological and psychological tests
Scores andreportstest results in format specified by supervising psychologist.
Uses computerized testing protocols whereindicated.
Completes behavioral observation protocols andparticipatesin research projects asrequested.
Evaluates clients condition and need for psychological services including interviewing and history-taking with input from parents or other family members as appropriate
Consults and coordinates care with treatment team andparticipatesin team conferences when appropriate
Provides counseling/psychotherapy to select patients under supervision as assigned

Essential Job Qualifications
Masters degree in Psychology
Formal course work in psychometrics
Ability to take directionsand problemsolveissues.
Good communicationskills.
Ability to work withallpopulations.
Preferred Job Qualifications
Limited License (LLP) to practice Psychology in the State of Michigan
Course work in probability and statistics
Experience in test administration
Proficiencywith the use of computers and knowledge of operational procedures
