Job Title: Part-Time Psychometrist

Job Summary: | Clinical Science Professionals perform clinical research related functions which may include patient-oriented research or research conducted with human subjects. Patient-oriented research includes mechanisms of human disease therapeutic interventions clinical trials or development of new technologies. Clinical Science Professionals may also assist with epidemiologic and behavioral studies and/or outcomes research and health services research. Principal Clinical Science Professionals either act as work/team leads for 2 or more FTE Professionals operate as Clinical Research Nurses (RN) or are the subject matter experts (SME) in a particular area. SMEs possess a deep knowledge and oversight of a specific process function and/or technology. SMEs are considered an authority in the area and are educated on the subject and are also able to share their knowledge with other stakeholders. Some Assignments will not move beyond this level. Researchers at the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU-Anschutz) are hiring a full-time Research Services Principal Professional to conduct studies examining executive function cognition language and adaptive functioning for children and adolescents with Down syndrome. Key Responsibilities: Assist with and oversee the day-to-day operations of studies. Perform informed consent process or ensures that the informed consent process has occurred is properly documented and that informed consent form documents are filed as required. Educate potential subjects on the details of the studies through phone contacts and personal interviews. Schedule subject participation in research study and coordinating availability of necessary space Collect code and analyze data obtained from research in an accurate and timely manner.

Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: Entry Level: Intermediate Level: Bachelors degree in any field. A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree on a year for year basis. One (1) year clinical research or related experience.
Senior Level Bachelors degree in any field A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree on a year for year basis Two (2) years clinical research or related experience
Principal Level Bachelors degree in any field A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree on a year for year basis Three (3) years clinical research or relate experience
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in science or health related field. Two (2) years of clinical research or related experience. Three (3) years of clinical research or related experience Four (4) years of clinical research or related experience Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Prior experience and training with IRB-regulated human subjects research studies. Experience in observational research surveys and questionnaires. Research experience with data collection and analysis. Prior experience in the day-to-day organization of research projects including recruitment of and contact with study participants coordination of data collection activities and data management. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Competencies: Knowledge Skills and Abilities Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills. Knowledge of basic human anatomy physiology and medical terminology. Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information. Ability to assemble revise and successfully publish scientific manuscripts. Ability to present scientific findings at meetings and conferences. Ability to establish and maintain productive scientific collaborations. Team coordination and management. Interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Word Excel PowerPoint and a statistical software package.
