Job Summary
Yard Associate / Customer Support Koopman - East Hampton
Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Yard Manager / Store Manager
About the Role
Koopman Lumber is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Yard Associate to join our team! In this hands-on role youll be the face of Koopman in our yard greeting customers helping them find what they need loading materials safely and keeping operations running smoothly.
Were looking for someone who takes pride in providing great service enjoys working outdoors and values teamwork and safety.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old have a clean driving record and be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
What Youll Do
- Greet customers in the yard and provide friendly knowledgeable assistance.
- Pull stage and load customer and delivery orders accurately and efficiently.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment (training provided).
- Assist truck drivers with loading/unloading materials and processing returns.
- Receive inspect and stock incoming shipments.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment at all times.
- Operate a register when needed and process transactions accurately.
- Support teammates and other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Attend company training sessions and contribute to a strong team culture
