Job Summary

Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP one of the worlds leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce law and government across North America Asia Europe and the Middle East is seeking to hire a Securities Transaction and Compliance Coordinator to join the firms Office of General Counsel. This position will report to the firms Deputy General Counsel and will be responsible for administering and supporting the firms internal pre-clearance policies and protocols for the purchase or sale of any security.

Morgan Lewis recognizes the benefits of supporting flexible working arrangements. This position may be resident in the firms Chicago New York or Philadelphia offices with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review analyze and process securities trade requests in accordance with firm policies and protocols.

  • Work closely with the firms Securities Transaction Partner firm attorneys and other internal stakeholders in evaluating securities trade requests.

  • Organize and maintain accurate records relating securities trade requests.

  • Coordinate training and respond to questions relating to the firms pre-clearance policies and protocols for the purchase or sale of any security.

  • Coordinate responses to requests from FINRA.

  • Assist in the annual review and coordination of attorney compliance with the firms policies and procedures.

  • Support the Office of General Counsel with other compliance and special projects as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.

  • A minimum of two to three years experience in a law firm or other professional services environment strongly preferred. The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Familiarity with securities trading principals a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills attention to detail the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High degree of professionalism discretion and client-service orientation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Preferred experience working in iManage and Elegrity.

For positions in Chicago IL the salary range for this job posting is: $69100.00 - $110500.

For positions in New York NY the salary range for this job posting is: $78500.00 - $125600.00.

The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors including but not limited to prior experience relevant expertise current business needs and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
