Position Summary
Position Summary: The LSU LCMC Health Cancer Center Community Outreach & Engagement ( COE ) Office is seeking a dynamic collaborative and experienced public health professional to serve as the Community Research Coordinator. COE is dedicated to reducing the burden of cancer through prevention screening and survivorship programs and initiatives that are informed by research and developed through community engagement. This position is funded by the LSU LCMC Health Cancer Center. Under the general supervision of the Community Outreach & Engagement Manager this position will lead state-wide community engagement efforts for the COE office. Key duties include but are not limited to: engaging multi-sector partners across the state to identify community research opportunities; developing state-wide community research strategies; identifying and coordinating COE community science activities; training researchers and facilitating their community engagement activities; working with researchers to translate and disseminate cancer research findings to community members; and managing data systems for tracking community science opportunities activities and findings.
