HSE Technology & Learning Support Assistant
Grant Funded Position
POSITION SUMMARY
The High School Equivalency (HSE) Technology & Learning Support Assistant plays a key role in helping adult learners and instructors effectively use technology for teaching and learning. This position supports the smooth operation of in-person and remote HSE classes by assisting with digital platforms troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring that students have access to the tools they need for success.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree required.
- Experience working with linguistically and culturally diverse population.
- Strong communication organizational and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Outlook Google Workspace (Docs Sheets Classroom Drive) and Zoom.
- Willingness to learn online learning platforms (e.g. IXL Aztec Northstar).
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot technology issues with patience and clarity.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide on-site and remote assistance to students and instructors when encountering technology issues (e.g. login problems Wi-Fi connectivity credential access Zoom setup).
- Create and manage student user accounts across multiple digital learning platforms (Aztec IXL Google Classroom etc.).
- Support teachers in integrating digital literacy and online learning activities into classroom instruction.
- Assist with technology setup and maintenance for in-person and remote classes orientations and testing sessions.
- Prepare and organize materials for morning evening in-person and remote orientations.
- Maintain accurate data records; ensure confidentiality and compliance with program requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings professional development sessions and planning activities as directed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director.
Reports to: Director of Adult Education
Effective Date of Employment: To be determined
Terms of Employment: Hours not to exceed 18 per week no benefits Grant-funded
Rate of Pay: $33.00 per hour
