Principal Partner Innovation Lead, Generative AI Innovation Center

As a Principal Partner Innovation Lead you will drive transformative partnerships that position AWS at the forefront of the generative AI revolution. You will architect and execute a comprehensive partner innovation strategy focusing on deep data partnerships with growing GenAI companies model providers and emerging technology leaders and next-generation AI startups.

This role requires you to think beyond traditional consulting engagements and build the future of AI-powered enterprise solutions. You will be creating headline-worthy partnerships that fundamentally change how enterprises leverage their data with AWS services.



Key job responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Design and implement a partner innovation model that brings together model providers data platforms and enterprise customers to co-create next-generation AI solutions that showcase AWS as the optimal data platform

- Strategic Data Partnerships: Establish deep technical partnerships with companies to build solutions that maximize customer data value on AWS moving beyond traditional use cases to transformative business applications

- Research & Development Leadership: Drive applied research initiatives that identify emerging AI trends evaluate new model architectures and develop forward-looking solutions that position AWS 2-3 years ahead of market demands

- Executive Partnership Engagement: Build and maintain C-level relationships with model providers technology partners and enterprise customers presenting strategic partnership opportunities that create mutual value and market differentiation

- Cross-Functional Innovation: Collaborate with product teams engineering and field organizations to ensure partner innovations are seamlessly integrated into AWS services and can be delivered at scale through ProServe

- Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis: Continuously monitor the GenAI landscape for consolidation trends emerging technologies and partnership opportunities particularly as the market evolves toward potential duopoly scenarios

- 10 years of leading complex large-scale IT technical or engineering programs experience
- 10 years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience
- Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives IT and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
- Experience with training and deploying machine learning systems to solve large-scale optimizations or experience with data infrastructures: relational analytic DBMS Elastic-Search and Big Data EMR/EC2/Glue/Lambda
- Experience in venture capital startup ecosystem or technology scouting roles

- Deep understanding of enterprise data architectures and how GenAI solutions integrate with existing data infrastructure
- Experience with forward deployment engineering or embedded technical partnership models

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
