Project Engineer (Financial Control Analyst)

The Project Engineer provides project technical support in the areas of evaluation coordination and distribution of project specific information authorizations project performance and status. Maintain current documentation to insure project data compliance budget and schedule. Exercises discretion and independent judgment on a regular basis to perform tasks in furtherance of organization and client needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Under direction of the Financial Manager Financial Controls the Project Engineer - Finance will provide the following essential functions:

• Maintain e-Builder cost module
• Establish and maintain cost controls
• Review and analyze cost data
• Setup and maintain vetted project budgets in multiple systems
• Oversight on the processing of commitments to ensure prior documentation and approvals
• Maintain document and project controls systems and procedures
• Monitors evaluates and ensures compliance with systems and procedures using the clients enterprise systems (e.g. e-Builder Gordian Cloud etc.)
• QA/QC to ensure appropriate financial controls are in place and implemented

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in business administration engineering construction management accounting or equivalent. Masters degree preferred. (High level qualifying experience can be substituted for education requirement on a year for year basis.)
• Minimum 5 years work experience.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining cost and schedule controls using several systems and tools in a dynamic environment with rapidly evolving priorities.
• Should possess knowledge and application of construction estimating cost project controls/scheduling documentation engineering and construction principles
• Basic understanding and application of accounting cost administrative and personnel interaction in professional settings.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products and experience with project related systems such as e-builder and Gordian cloud
• Ability to represent Vanir and related entities in a professional manner at all times to ensure company policies and procedures as well as compliance to all applicable laws and regulations.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including education qualifications experience and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $95000.00-$116000.00.
