Peer Specialist Program Supervisor
- Salary Range: $58011 - $69618annually based on relevant years of experience
- Location: Larimer County Colorado
- Status: Full-Time Exempt 40 hours per week
- Hours: Monday & Thursday 11a-730p Tuesday Wednesday & Friday 8a-5p as well as occasional availability for weekend events.
Role Overview:
The Peer Specialist Program Supervisor provides leadership coordination and mentorship to a team of Peer Support Specialists who use their lived experience of recovery to assist individuals in achieving their goals. This role ensures that peer services are delivered with fidelity to recovery-oriented person-centered and trauma-informed principles and strengthens the integration of peer support across the organization.
Essential Duties:
- Leverage lived experience from your personal journey of recovery of addiction and/or mental health challenges will perform direct client care for clients needing peer support services.
- Supervise peer specialists including scheduling to meet coverage needs approving timesheets and managing leave requests.
- Evaluate staff performance for all direct reports; address performance issues resolve conduct and ethical issues; carry out disciplinary action when needed. Conduct performance reviews for all direct reports.
- Establish team-level management information and communication mechanisms and coach staff through changes or program improvements.
- Ensure accurate records and reporting and compliance with county state and federal laws rules and regulations regarding clinical staff in addition to any reporting for grants/contracts assigned.
- Collaborate with SummitStone staff in planning developing implementing and evaluating peer services program.
Required:
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use issues (either personally or as a family member) with 2 years of sustained recovery
- More than 1 year of experience with program development and peer services.
- More than 1 year of experience in a supervisory role
- Working knowledge of SAHMSA Peer Specialist Core Competencies and Colorado Practitioners Association Peer Code of Ethics
- Knowledge of diversity and inclusion with the relevant ability to engage communicate interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people of different backgrounds identities and culturally diverse communities
- Valid Colorado drivers license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record
Licenses and Certifications:
- Colorado Peer Specialist certification or willingness to immediately work toward certification. All trainings work experience hours and costs toward certification are covered in-house
- COPA Colorado Peer Specialist Certification (CPFS) current and in good-standing preferred
Highly Desired:
- Bilingual/bi-cultural
- Experience in program development and managing clinical projects
