About the position:
The Hybrid Technology Hub (HTH) Centre of Excellence at Oslo University Hospital and the University of Oslo Norway is seeking a Researcher for a 1-year full-time position to contribute to the development of of stem cell based embryo models (SCBEM).
The Centre headed by Prof. Stefan Krauss is located at the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences at University of Oslo. The Centre develops innovative human 3D models for biomedical research ( In the frame of the European Innovation Council project consortium supervised morphogenesis in gastruloids (SUMO) the Krauss group has established a group that works on mouse and human SCBEM including gastruloids. The overall aim of the work is to advance SCBEM to the stage of organ induction.
The work will include culture and differentiation of embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells culture of SCBEM under various conditions. The researcher will also assist with characterizing SCBEMs by advanced imaging and analytical techniques including confocal microscopy and single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq).

- Project management and participation of international collaborations.
Qualifications:
- Completed a degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in developmental biology.
- Documented practical experience working with SCBEM.
- Documented expertise in handling and differentiation of pluripotent stem cells.
- Solid understanding of developmental biology in particular human and mammalian development.
- Proficient with single cell RNA-seq analysis.
- Experience with standard molecular biology techniques (gene and protein expression analysis).
- Experience with advanced microscopy and image analysis.
- Excellent written oral and presentation skills (English).
