Principal Environmental Scientist

As a principal environmental scientist you will help lead the environmental assessments impact evaluations environmental surveys environmental permitting ensuring compliance with environmental regulations for transportation infrastructure projects. Youll prepare permit applications risk assessments and technical documents including proposals reports and regulatory agency correspondence. As well as design systems and environmental protection plans for ecological and natural resource field surveys site planning and permitting.

• Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium environmental projects and processes.
• Project manage develop bids and develop relationships with clients and stakeholders on a range of projects.
• Assisting public and private clients with permit coordination acquisition and compliance.
• Establishing client relations including with marketing contractual design and production meetings.
• Prepare for and participate in public information meetings and hearings.
• Support the continued growth of our business and foster the development of environmental planning and approvals across the region.
• Assist with NEPA document preparation.

• Bachelor of science degree in Biology Ecology Geology Environmental Sciences or related discipline
• 12 years working with environmental transportation projects.
• This hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers phones and copy machines. May occasionally be exposed to work environments that include exposure to inclement weather heat humidity noise hazard atmospheric conditions and bodies of water depending on project requirements. While performing the duties of this job physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting moving standing talking hearing and occasional balancing stooping kneeling crouching reaching handling grasping and feeling. This job may occasionally require operating a company vehicle and lifting carrying pushing and pulling up to 35 lbs.
