Essential responsibilities
Capture system requirements flow-down to components definition identifying relevant validation needs
Issue technical documents relative to the components design according to engineering policies and procedures (drawings presentations as well as analysis reports)
Contribute and participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews
Develop components and modules design to cost performance and life objectives
Proactively support and coordinate activities with manufacturing departments and Suppliers to implement product improvements (eg concurrent design cost-out activities).
Support source technological substantiation and non-conformances assessment
Support activities related to development findings components performance and investigations (test requests test data postprocess laboratories investigation)
Qualifications/Requirements
Masters Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university
Knowledge of designing additive components preferably using DMLM technology
Experience with CAD tools (e.g. Unigraphics NX) and CAE tools (e.g. Nastran Ansys)
Fundamental understanding of mechanical design (static strength of materials dynamics etc.)and of fluid mechanics and heat transfer
Good interpersonal and communication skills. Team working and inclusiveness proven capabilities
Clear thinking diligent approach result oriented
Fluent English and Italian both written and oral
Work Visa in accordance with local regulation is required
Desired characteristics
Knowledge of aeronautical aero-engines components or modules technical requirements design solutions technologies
Experience in cost and value engineering
Previous experience in mechanical design of complex products and New Product Introduction process
Experience on structure stress analysis
Capable to work in multicultural environment preferable previous international experience
Curiosity and passion for mechanical design
