Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Design Manager. The Candidate will join the Building & Places Team which provides services on large-scale real estate and civil engineering projects. Our teams work on complex real estate projects pulling the right resources across the company to support project needs. Responsibilities:
- Manage and support public procurement procedures for engineering and architectural services in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Prepare and coordinate technical and administrative tender documentation and contribute to technical and financial bids.
- Perform design management activities coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring alignment between design outputs contractual requirements scope schedule and quality.
- Monitor design deliverables interfaces and approval processes during tender and contract execution phases.
- Manage relationships with contracting authorities Project Managers (RUP) and relevant stakeholders.
- Support post-award contract management including service start-up design changes and contractual amendments.
- Ensure proper digital document management traceability and risk mitigation throughout procurement and execution processes.
Qualifications :
We are particularly looking for candidates with the following:
- Masters degree in Engineering or Architecture.
- 5 years of experience in an engineering and consulting firm
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Capability to work with BIM/2D Civil/Architectural software (Revit AutoCad Civil3D etc.) and good understanding of Microsoft Office suite in particular Excel and Project.
- Motivation initiative and organizational skills to work effectively in a busy multi-disciplinary environment;
- Ability to maintain good records of site-based activities;
- Reasonable flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to conduct site visits;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Civil Engineering/Building Engineering
