Job Summary
Orchard Farm School Districtis seeking a highly qualified self-motivated student-centered teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year as the Innovations/Technology Teacher (K-4)!Our teachers are responsible for providing quality instruction to students and maintaining a positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
Our mission is to empower each learner to excel in diverse Farm School District is located in St. Charles County MO with a current enrollment of approximately 2700 students and the last decade new developments like Charlestowne and New Town situated along Highway 370 have contributed significantly to our increase in enrollment. The successful team member will have an in-depth understanding of the teaching and learning process characterized by a comprehensive repertoire of instructional and assessment strategies. Elementary Education (1-6) certification is required additional certifications addition the successful candidate will have an interest in Computer Science Google applications app inventor software digital design coding robotics 3-D printing digital video creation and any and all programming and curriculum related to grades K-4 computer science. The successful candidate will continue to review the current curriculum and make appropriate recommendations as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree or higher
- Appropriate Missouri Teaching Certificate
- Knowledge of state standards federal and state regulations and law
- Knowledge of subject matter content and assessment strategies
- Knowledge of best practices in curriculumand instruction
- Ability to relate to students staff and parents in a positive manner
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
- Ability to follow written and oral communication
- Ability to problem solve
An individual who holds this position is required to:
- Provide instruction to students
- Create and implement a classroommanagementplan
- Create lesson plans and activities to implement and supplement instruction
- Participate in building grade level and subject area committees
- Participate in professional development activities
- Maintain accurate student records
- Complete and submit forms and required reports in a timely manner
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and/or other educational concerns
- Participate as a member of an IEP team 504 team or other student assistance teams as requested
- Implement special educational plans such as 504 plans individual educational programs and individual health plans
- Report suspected abuse neglect discrimination and harassments as directed by Board policy
- Prepare lesson plans for use by a substitute teacher
- Subject area teachers may have additional duties and responsibilities
