Highlights of our campus include 60000 square feet of integrated primary and specialty care physician clinics ambulatory surgery center birthing center with private birthing suites Level III Trauma Center with 24/7 emergency services 92 inpatient beds and an outpatient diagnostics center with lab and imaging services. Built on the pillars of convenience wellness and person-centered care we offer inpatient and outpatient care at one site with an emphasis on preventive health wellness and health education.

The surgery department at St. Anthony North Health Campus Hospital consists of 8 OR rooms 1 cysto room 1 minor procedure room a GI room and a room for pain management. We are an ortho heavy department - fracture management total hips knees and shoulders and the ortho service continues to grow. We also perform general ENT GYN urology spine and plastics. The patient mix is comprised mainly of adult surgical patients. Patient care is provided for adult geriatric adolescent and pediatric patients. Our mission is to provide safe care to the surgical patient. As a Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech with CommonSpirit Health you will:


Works under the supervision of the surgeon and RN.
Assist surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed.
Assist in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments equipment and rooms.


** Previous Or experience required**


**6month-1yr Surgical tech experience required**

Day to Day duties:

  • Scrub on all cases.
  • Ortho heavy Dept. totals/trauma/ sports Medicine. Spine Ortho Spine w/navigation (STEALTH7D) Podiatry Plastics Endo Cysto Urology GI Robotics (DaVinci XI/MAKO ROSA) Gen ENT Hands GYN Urology.
  • Associates are cross trained for all services no specialized service Teams.
    Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations.
    Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next days cases.
    Maintain Sterile field during procedures.
    Handing instruments to surgeons anticipating surgeons needs.
    Maintaining and updating preference cards.


8 OR Suites 1 Cysto Room1minor procedure room

Anticipating an addition of two new ORs by Oct 2025


Approx. 600-700 cases per month

Schedule- 40hrs/Week- Variable shift times per surgical Volume and current unit needs

Call required- Approx. 4-6 call shifts per 6 week schedule block. May Vary

Weekend Call isweekday call 1900-0730

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Basic Computer skills required.
  • One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • Experience in a specialty field preferred.
  • HS Diploma/GED required
  • Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required
  • Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado. * A person performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another Colorado license certification or registration does not need to register as a Surgical Tech required
  • Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required

Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs frequently and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
