Job Summary

Overview

We are seeking a strategic proactive and highly skilled Senior Executive Assistant (Sr. EA) to support C-suite executives and senior leadership. This individual serves as a thought partner and operational extension of executive leadership providing expert administrative support anticipating needs and independently managing priorities with discretion and strategic foresight. The Sr. EA acts as a trusted partner to leadership enabling them to focus on high-level strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-level administrative support to C-suite executives including complex calendar and travel management.
  • Serve as a strategic thought-partner anticipating needs and proactively identifying and addressing scheduling communication or workflow conflicts before they arise.
  • Assist in preparation for executive meetings: prepare and distribute agendas briefing materials and meeting logistics for internal and external engagements and track action items.
  • Draft high quality communications presentations and reports.
  • Manage highly sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization serving as a liaison between executives leadership teams board members and external partners.
  • Drive and manage special projects often with organizational-wide impact.
  • Mentor and coach junior administrative staff sharing best practices and supporting team excellence.
  • Partner on procurement and financial processes (Pos contracts invoices and expense reports).

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience supporting senior executives including experience with C-suite or Board level; experience supporting Research and Development and/or Medical Affairs leadership strongly preferred.
  • Strong business judgment and ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and discretion.
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity and drive high impact outcomes
  • Exceptional organizational project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (Teams Zoom etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Proven track record of handling sensitive information with discretion.

Benefits and Perks:

Base salary for this role will consider multiple factors including but not limited to candidate qualifications relevant expertise specialized skills and industry experience in complement-targeted therapies.

The targeted base salary range for this position is $113300- $170000 per year. This range represents the base salary only and reflects Apellis commitment to competitive compensation within the biopharmaceutical industry. The final salary offered may vary based on individual qualifications business needs and current market conditions.
