EIRE Systems is seeking to hire a proactive Bilingual Data Center Project Manager to lead and coordinate large scale enterprise data center projects in Japan.
This role involves managing all stages of data center white-space projectsfrom planning and design to implementation and closeoutwhile ensuring quality safety and efficiency. Youll work closely with internal technology teams external vendors and data center service providers to deliver new builds upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
Workplace Location:Tokyo Japan (onsite role must reside in Japan)

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordination with internal teams external contractors and Data Center service providers;
Project Management & Coordination
- Lead end-to-end data center white-space projects in Japan.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Network IT Enterprise Computing) and external vendors.
- Manage timelines budgets and project documentation.
- Report project status progress and issues to regional stakeholders.
Design Analysis and Requirement Gathering
- Gather requirements and prepare design layouts with service providers.
- Work with sourcing legal and finance teams on RFPs and contracts.
- Calculate and plan for rack counts power cooling and cabling.
- Develop installation and re-stack plans with internal teams and vendors.
Implementation & Deployment
- Visit data center sites to monitor progress and quality.
- Manage equipment delivery installation and commissioning.
- Coordinate vendor activities including network patching and telco circuit installations.
- Oversee equipment decommissioning and disposal according to policy.
- Ensure all work is properly documented and compliant with standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of layouts capacity and assets.
- Update project plans reports and budgets regularly.
- Keep SharePoint project documentation up to date and organized.
Skills & Experience:
- Bilingual: English and Japanese (spoken and written).
- 57 years experience in mission-critical data center operations or construction.
- Experience in build-outs commissioning and handover of data center projects.
- Good understanding of data center infrastructure (UPS generators CRAC cabling containment etc.).
- Hands-on knowledge of equipment installation network cabling and testing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with local and international building and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
- CDCP (Certified Data Center Professional) certification is a plus.
