Summary:
The Production Technician assembles mechanical units assemblies or complete units using hand tools jigs fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. Additionally in this role you will fit align calibrate and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements and repair units or products that have failed to meet requirements.
What You Will Do:
- Ensure manufacturing activities are completed in a manner which will not compromise the health and safety of employees and visitors to the Stryker site.
- Process product in line with documented Standard Operating Procedures and Work/Process Instructions in a manner which ensures that required standards on EHS GMP GDP Housekeeping (6S Standard) as well as Compliance are proactively maintained.
- Promote operational excellence and drive continuous improvement in all relevant manufacturing related activities.
- Liaise with Manufacturing Supervisors and other departments regarding application of manufacturing instructions and quality standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency to meet EHS Quality and Production requirements/targets and take ownership for resolving issues within the cell / team when possible. Escalate issues which cannot be resolved within the Cell/Team.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed as scheduled.
- Demonstrate a flexible willingness to cross-train and operate on multiple diverse processes / products within the business.
- Continually strive to develop and maintain lean manufacturing processes and support implementation of continuous improvements to minimize waste in all parts of the business.
What You Need:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to exert up to 44 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force to constantly move objects
- Ability to work with and assemble small objects and components parts
Preferred:
- Manufacturing and/or production experience
- Knowledge of GMP
Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered.
