Job Summary

Across our 60 locations we provide programs in a variety of service areas including workforce development children youth families seniors and homeless prevention.


The Center for Achieving Future Education (CAFÉ) is a FREE college program that assists young people and their families with a potentially critical life stage: the transition from high school and/or HSE completion to college. For over 10 years our mission has been to help young people and their families with the college application and financial aid process as well as work diligently to ensure that our youth are ready for college beyond matriculation by providing various support and guidance while enrolled in school.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mastersdegreeinsocialserviceseducationorrelatedfield
  • Experience working with high school youth in a school-based setting
  • Proficiencyin English required proficiency in a second language preferred.
  • Two years management experience in a social service or children & youth setting

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all program components including staff orientation training and development client assessment service plan development and progress relationships with other community-based organizationsand components specific to the program
  • Recruit trainandsuperviseassistant directors coordinators and directservice staff
  • Administerpersonnelpoliciesandprocedures
  • Developregularcommunication withcontract managersforprograms supervised act as liaison with funding source
  • Ensure all programs meet contracted goals and reporting requirements
  • Monitor program progress andsubmit allrequired reportstofundingsources including government and private sources
  • Submit internal progress reports to Department Directorand/or Executive Director monthly or more frequently as required
  • Plan and develop budgets andworkwith Fiscal staff to ensure that collection of payment from funding sources is current
  • Monitorfiscalexpensesand analyzefiscalreportsmonthly
  • Prepare proposals for the development expansion and continuation of programs in coordinationwiththe Department Director
  • Assistthedepartmentwiththedevelopmentofprogramgoalsfortheprograms
  • Create anenvironmentof teamwork
  • Responsible for writing accident/ incident reports and reports
  • Attend regular staff meetings
  • Hold monthly individual supervision meetings with staff and group meetings as necessary
  • Actaslinkbetweentheadministrativeofficefiscaldepartmentandprogramstaff
  • Monitorstaffperformanceincludingperformingcasereviewsandstructured observations
  • Participateinandencouragestafftobecomeinvolvedinagencyevents
  • Actasliaisonwiththecommunityincludingtheareacommunitydistrict
  • Perform other duties deemed necessary by assistant department director or assistant executive director to ensure that the highest quality of service is offered.

  • Develop nurture and maintain strong collaboration with funding source representatives
