Job Summary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate Degree in Applied Science or equivalent job experience
  • Five (5) years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration installation and support.
  • Proficiency with all aspects of VSphere
  • Experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN)
  • Certified Wireless Administrator
  • Amplified Admin Level 1 and 2 (preferred)
  • Experience with MS Windows Powershell
  • Must have excellent customer service skills

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology Operations

JOB GOAL: Responsible for day to day operational task in support of the districts data center including deploying configuring monitoring and supporting all physical and virtual servers and storage. Perform duties as primary mobile deviceadministrator responsible for managing all mobile devices utilizing enterprise management software.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Serve as an administrator supporting all district physical and virtual servers.
  2. Responsible for managing mobile devices and mobile applications using Enterprise management software such as G-Suite Administration Console and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
  3. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Active Directory domain forest.
  4. Assist users and resolve network problems including connectivity and printing issues.
  5. Install update and support all server and storage area network (SAN) hardware and software.
  6. Assist IT Support Technicians with the maintenance of computers and devices as required.
  7. Perform daily backups and replication of the data center virtual environment to off-site Disaster Recovery (DR) facilities using Zerto Barracuda and Data Domain appliances and applications.
  8. Assistant Network Architect in supporting Enterprise Wireless environment.
  9. Assist in developing implementing and maintaining compliance on all aspects of data security and virus protection application aspects.
  10. Provide own transportation for service calls. (Standard mileage reimbursement for personal car usage will apply according to PCSSDs Business Procedure Manual.)
  11. Maintain working knowledge and proficiency of all server hardware and software applications.
  12. Coordinate with vendors to expedite warranty repairs and defective parts replacement.
  13. Setup and support VSphere infrastructure and VCenter Management Console.
  14. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary Range: Range 4 - Support Staff Daily Salary Schedule ($215.87/day - $331.99/day depending on relevant experience)

Length of Contract: 244 contract days

FLSA Status: Exempt

Personnel Status: Classified
