Job Summary
Job Description
Director of Finance - Responsible for the financial reporting of 4 entities. Saint Lukes Physician Group Heart Surgeons of Kansas City Rockhill Orthopaedic Specialists & Advanced Urologic Associates. This position is also responsible for the effective supervision and operation of the Finance department.
The Director of Finance leader will have 4 direct reports. 1 manager and 3 Sr. Financial Analysts.
Essential accountabilities
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires trains assigns work manages & evaluates performance conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Assists leadership and departments in understanding the financial performance of the organization using financial data to assist in making operational decisions.
- Ensures the timely completion and analysis of the monthly financial results for the organization.
- Oversee the preparation and development of operating and capital budgets as well as the long range financial plan.
- BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
Position requirements
The Director of Finance will have the following combination of skills and experience:
- Minimum of 6-9 years of experience
- Bachelors Degree in Finance or related field
- Comfortable working in a complex matrix organization.
- Strong sense of mission and an active engaged leadership style.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to partner with executive and system leadership in strategic and tactical planning and implementation.
- Highly successful in driving change within an organization.
