Job Description
Responsible for the development and growth of Agricultural Export and Supply chain Finance portfolio in support of CoBanks diverse customer base including but not limited to Agribusiness and Rural Infrastructure customers and Farm Credit System (FCS) partners as part of the banks larger commerce and product strategy. Onboards customers and works closely with portfolio managers and Trade Services team to provide ongoing support and guidance to our customers. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the various products offered by the Ag Export/Supply Chain Finance team. This is knowledge leveraged to create marketing material create awareness and position CoBank as a partner of choice within the FCS. Ensures alignment between the Export and Supply Chain Finance team and the rest of the bank positioning the division as a strategic partner.
Essential Functions
- Customer Relationship Management: Independently manages day-to-day customer relationships with export or supply chain product needs. Regularly meets with customers to gather information about their business needs strategic direction and finances to identify business opportunities.
- Business Planning: Develops and implements a marketing and account servicing plan for the assigned portfolio that aligns with established performance objectives of the division and the banks Flywheel Strategic Business Objectives.
- Portfolio Management: Works with portfolio managers and relationship managers to manage and grow the broader portfolio through effective referrals and collaborative customer service.
- Resource Materials: Develops sales and marketing collateral that can be leveraged for customer interaction creating product awareness with relationship managers and educational opportunities within the Farm Credit System.
- Marketing Collaboration: Collaborates with relationship managers across the bank including all business groups and with association partners to develop specific strategies for ongoing marketing of Export and Supply Chain products. Responsible for the implementation of these strategies and communication with stakeholders about key deliverables.
- Customer Support: Performs various activities in support of the sales function including in-person meetings relationship reviews public speaking engagements and delivers educational sessions for relationship managers associations and customers.
- CRM Management: Updates the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system on sales calls pipeline stages customer reviews etc. for both new and existing customers and prospects.
- Product Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrates in depth understanding of key concepts of export and supply chain finance including the GSM-102 program Letters of Credit Supply Chain Finance programs and structures and the benefits of these programs to our customers. Serves as a trusted advisor for customers by understanding and providing export and supply chain finance knowledge including guidance on how these products can provide business value.
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Business Finance or a relevant discipline required
Work Experience
- 5 years of relevant experience preferably in banking or financial services industry required
- Prior Experience in the Agricultural Export and Supply Chain Finance industry required
- Knowledge of fundamental commercial lending loan structuring financing alternatives collateral concepts and syndicated loan structures.
- Advanced knowledge of Letter of Credit and Supply Chain Finance structures and industry standards.
- Knowledge of competitive environment and practices in the AgExport/Supply Chain Finance industry.
- Proven ability to analyze credits contracts legal documents technical reports and various deal structures.
- Ability to produce marketing presentations for potential and existing customers.
- Understanding of the Farm Credit System and experience working directly with associations and their customer

Regular Travel occurs on a consistent basis (typically once a week or every other week).

The typical base pay range for this role is between $119200 - $146640. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge skills expertise and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
