Key Responsibilities

The key accountabilities of the Junior School Visual Arts Teacher are based on the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and describe the Professional Knowledge Practice and Professional Engagement required at The Cathedral School and includes:

  • Fostering a safe inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Inspiring students to take creative risks and discover their unique artistic talent.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality learning experiences and programs.

What Youll Bring

  • A Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood or Primary) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong knowledge of visual arts curriculum from Kindy to Year 6.
  • Exceptional interpersonal organisational and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to pastoral care and holistic student development.

The Cathedral School of St Anne & St James locatedin Mundingburra is Townsvilles only Independent Anglican School for boys and girls from Early Childhoodto Year 12 and boarding students from Year 7 to 12.
