POSITION: Math Program Supervisor (2026-2027 School Year)
BUILDING: Carlisle High School
Job Summary:
The Program Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the effective operation compliance and continuous improvement of departmental programs. This position requires strict adherence to all federal and state regulations maintaining full compliance within the departments jurisdiction and operational scope. The supervisor is also responsible for providing instructional leadership including teaching assigned classes and modeling effective instructional practices aligned with district collaboration with district leadership the supervisor establishes communicates and monitors departmental goals and objectives ensuring alignment with district-wide priorities while staying informed of current trends research and best practices within the field of education.
The Program Supervisor also plays an essential role in hiring and staffing from posting vacancies and interviewing candidates to onboarding and mentoring new employees. This leadership extends to professional development where the supervisor both facilitates and participates in training opportunities that enhance instructional quality and staff effectiveness. Oversight of curriculum and course development is another key area encompassing curriculum updates material acquisition and collaboration with high school administration on educational planning. Finally the supervisor maintains accurate budget and inventory records ensuring fiscal responsibility in managing books supplies and equipment in accordance with district policies. Overall the Program Supervisor serves as a vital link between administration staff and the communityguiding educational excellence and organizational integrity across all departmental functions.
Beyond internal operations the Program Supervisor fosters community partnerships and outreach promoting collaboration between the school district and external organizations. The role involves comprehensive supervisory duties such as conducting staff observations providing constructive feedback initiating improvement plans and supporting professional growth. The supervisor ensures a positive collaborative work environment and assists staff in implementing key processes like the SLO/SPM. Additional responsibilities include organizing and leading department meetings attending district councils and administrative meetings and participating in summer administrative sessions.
