Your Team Your Impact
The Optical Digital Signal Processing (ODSP) PHY SW Team works on Marvells DSP products used in pluggable optical modules. These chips form the backbone of the internet moving data within data centers between data centers between cities and even continents over high bandwidth optical fibres. Marvell is the market leader in direct-detect optical DSPs making chips to fit every application and use case from 100G to 1.6T. These products are in every major cloud data center and AI cluster around the world. Even the data used for this job description has traveled through many of Marvells DSPs to reach your computer and our products are a key part of the biggest AI clusters that power all the latest generative AI projects. Check out our products SW team owns all the SW components for the chips including embedded FW customer SDK lab scripts and GUI applications to interface with the chips. This team is a critical part of the product development flow from pre-silicon simulation post-silicon lab bring-up to field deployment. What You Can Expect
Build Automation & CI/CD (Jenkins)
- Administer and maintain the Jenkins application and plugins including regular upgrades.
- Design and optimize automated build processes and pipelines.
- Provide build/debug support to developers and users.
Source Control Management (GitLab/GitHub)
- Manage access and permissions for the software team.
- Configure repositories including:
- Defining branching strategies and permission schemas.
- Integrating with tools like Jira and Jenkins.
Issue Tracking & Project Management (Jira)
- Administer Jira project configurations automations and user access.
- Support workflow improvements and cross-tool integrations.
Development Environments & Tooling
- Maintain build and development VMs in collaboration with IT.
- Manage shared tools and environments (e.g. make gcc python).
- Develop utility scripts and tools to streamline workflows.
Storage & Internal Tools
- Oversee the Artifactory binary repository (in coordination with IT).
- Maintain internal tools such as Zabbix monitoring and Booked scheduler.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors in CS (or similar) with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Languages:Bash Python Groovy (Jenkins DSL)
- Strong experience with Jenkins GitLab/GitHub and Jira.
- Familiarity with Linux-based development environments.
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and build systems.
- Solid understanding of software development workflows and DevOps best practices.
- Positive attitude with a focus on unblocking others.
- Clearly able to communicate ideas verbally and in writing
- Ability to follow through on tasks to completion.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams.
