Accounting Manager (C1-C2 EN/ES) (Honduras/SPS)

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations supporting U.S. market requirements. This position is responsible for supervising accounting processes financial reporting compliance budgeting and month-end close activities.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical detail-oriented and fully bilingual (English/Spanish) with experience in multi-currency and U.S./international accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations including AP/AR GL payroll review and cash management.
- Lead monthly quarterly and annual closing processes ensuring accuracy and deadlines.
- Prepare analyze and present financial statements and operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with Honduras accounting standards and U.S. GAAP requirements when applicable.
- Maintain accounting controls policies and documentation for audit readiness.
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes.
- Monitor budget adherence and assist with forecasting and variance analysis.
- Support tax filings statutory reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Manage banking relationships and support treasury activities.
- Implement process improvements and financial system efficiencies.
- Supervise and develop accounting staff; ensure high-performance and task delegation.
- Collaborate with operations HR procurement and corporate finance teams to ensure alignment.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience
- 5 years of professional accounting experience preferably in BPO SSC or multinational environments.
- Experience supporting U.S. operations and reporting requirements preferred.
- Experience managing accounting teams.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements month-end close and forecasting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks NetSuite SAP Oracle etc.).
Skills
- Fully bilingual: English/Spanish C1 minimum.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS; U.S. GAAP beneficial).
- Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Strong attention to detail and process improvement mindset.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work with multiple departments and deadlines.
