Custodian

SA Recycling is looking for a experienced cheerful and dependable Custodian who takes pride in their work. As a Custodian you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining our offices breakrooms restrooms locker rooms and common areas as set forth by company performing these duties you may be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons.

The work for this position will be split to two different yard. Light traveling required.

Responsibilities of a Custodian

• Maintain internal and external facility conditions as set forth by company standards and procedures.
• Sweep mop scrub vacuum and restock common areas offices breakrooms restrooms and locker rooms.
• Identify needed repairs to facilities and properties and bring to the attention of the General Manager.
• Perform general maintenance functions such as replacing HVAC filters changing light bulbs and replacing damaged ceiling tiles etc.
• Maintain adequate inventory of all cleaning supplies and materials.
• Continuously monitor and address all common areas offices breakrooms restrooms and locker rooms for cleanliness.
• Keep supply closets and storage areas neat and orderly.
• Regular and punctual attendance are essential job functions.

Qualifications of a Custodian

• High School diploma GED Certification or equivalent work experience.
• 1-year previous custodial experience.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
• Ability to carry out instructions provided in written oral or diagrammatic form.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned required.
