Whats the role

As a Manager in Group Audit you will interact directly with business units and other Group Audit home teams. You will participate in independent reviews of control frameworks systems models policies and procedures across the Westpac Group to identify areas for remediation and opportunities for enhancement. You will work collaboratively to plan execute and report on model risk audits including assessing risks and controls. The role involves continuous monitoring of traded market risk developments emerging issues and regulatory changes as well as supporting responses to regulators and external auditors. Youll play a key role in issue management and driving enhancements that strengthen governance and compliance.

What do I need

  • Extensive experience in assurance (internal or external audit) consulting or risk management (1LOD or 2LOD) roles.
  • Strong understanding and working experience in traded market risk (APS 116 and Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) counterparty credit risk (APS 180) and derivative pricing/margin calculation (CPS 226) are essential
  • Stakeholder management (communication and influencing skills) project management and collaboration/relationship building skills
  • An inquisitive mindset and the ability to solve complex problems and identify root causes of issues
  • A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics / Finance / Actuarial Studies / Engineering or an equivalent field would be highly desirable
