Job Summary

The Cathedral School is proud to offer a vibrant and inclusive boarding program that supports students from regional and remote Queensland the Northern Territory and internationally. We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Senior Boarding Supervisors to join our boarding team. These full-time term-time roles involves working predominantly outside regular school hours and play a vital role in creating a friendly and nurturing environment where students and staff can live harmoniously and feel supported. The role will be required to help students develop essential social and community skills preparing them to become responsible and respectful members of society.

Available positions are:

2 x Senior Boarding Supervisor Monday to Friday (2.30pm 10.30pm)
2 x Senior Boarding Supervisor Sunday to Thursday (2.30pm 10.30pm)

About the Role

Senior Boarding Supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the boarding house and the wellbeing of students in their care. Working collaboratively with Residential Boarding Assistants and the Head of Boarding the successful candidate will:

Foster a friendly and respectful boarding environment prioritising Boarders care and wellbeing.
Support students personal development and academic progress.
Supervise daily routines study sessions and extracurricular activities.
Promote leadership opportunities and positive behaviour.
Maintain cleanliness safety and security of boarding facilities.
Assist with transport coordination and event planning.
Complete documentation and pastoral care notes.

Essential Criteria

Experience in a supervisory or pastoral care role ideally in a boarding or residential setting.
Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
Valid Drivers Licence.
Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
