Job Summary
PPGs Aerospace Business is hiring a Controls Engineer in Grand Prairie this role you will primarily be handling original programmable logic controller (PLC) programming and troubleshooting. You will write the original language operate the PLC codes and troubleshoot if and when any problems arise. You will report to the Advanced Manufacturing Director. This is a hybrid position working 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities
PLC code creation and troubleshooting and instrumentation integration across the business unit.
Develop RFQs SOW and directly manage vendors and contractors to coordinate equipment installation.
Responsible for project documentation including technical writing.
Implementing aerospace strategic PLCs/SCADA throughout the business unit
Select and install hardware and software
Maintain PLCs/SCADA ensure standardization across facilities and ensure real time displays of metrics.
Qualifications
Only US Citizens Green Card holders political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.
Bachelors Degree in Software / Manufacturing Engineering preferred
4 years of PLC programming experience required
PLC interfacing primarily Allen Bradley
Ability to travel up to 25% if needed.
