Viking Travel Care is expanding and building up a new connection with this we are looking for an experienced Network Specialist who has great knowledge of travel insurance assistance globally and who loves to support the operations with this knowledge.
The Network Specialist will be an experienced member of the network team who will actively assist our operations staff in solving cases and help finding solutions in all kinds of geographies.
The role will also be involved in the management and improvement of Travel Cares provider relations e.g. service providers of medical network and local assistance medical providers transport providers travel agency services funeral agents subcontractors and any other entities delivering services to Viking Travel Care.
We are also interested in candidates with experience of working with security providers within global travel assistance.
Responsibilities
- Support the operations team and case handlers regarding providers in different geographical conditions and other relevant information to ensure the best decisions in cases e.g. in medical evacuations
- Establish agreements and negotiate contracts with service providers delivering services to Viking Travel Care.
- Manage and improve relations with existing service providers with Travel Care.
- Other tasks related to cases in the operations e.g. contacting providers finding solutions solving problems and assisting colleagues
- Hold training regarding network and global conditions
- Participating in customer meetings as our expert of network related topics
- Build and document deep understanding in the geopolitical situation and medical services available in certain geographies for example USA
- Write country reports regarding network standard in specific areas of the world including both medical security and logistics
- Update provider data and documentation and other administrative work and tasks related to Network and service providers of Travel Care
- Project work related to network and service providers to Travel Care
- Other tasks when needed
Qualifications
- Experience with managing and collaborating with medical network and medical transport providers for the travel assistance industry
- Good knowledge of the differences in geographical political conditions in different parts of the world that is relevant to travel assistance
- If you also have experience with security services for travel assistance like security evacuations and duty of care services it is a plus
- Higher relevant education
- Fluent English written and spoken Nordic or other languages is a plus.
- Excellent skills in Office programs and IT systems in general
- Very good at written communication and spotless English

- Hands-on and efficient

- International experience or travel experience is a plus
