Job Title: Parts Data Management Analyst
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Dubuque IA 52001
Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extension)
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Position Overview
The Parts Data Management Analyst I supports product engineering and manufacturing teams by managing and analyzing part data Bills of Material (BOM) and engineering documentation to ensure smooth implementation of new products and product updates. This is an entry-level data-driven role that supports cross-functional engineering processes using SAP and PDMLink systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Bills of Material (BOM) and material master data in SAP and PDMLink.
- Analyze and process engineering data for design changes product improvements and new model introductions.
- Audit part data specification requests and engineering changes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Facilitate coordination between engineering manufacturing and data management teams.
- Conduct gap analyses and support continuous improvement in data quality and process efficiency.
- Participate in project meetings record and publish minutes and assist in specification decisions.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel SAP and data coordination tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering documents product structures and BOMs.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of engineering change management and product lifecycle processes.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
Preferred Background
- Education: Bachelors or Associate degree in Engineering Data Analytics or related field.
- Experience: 1 3 years in engineering data management product engineering or analytics.
- Experience with SAP PDMLink or similar PLM/ERP systems is beneficial.
- Familiarity with engineering manufacturing or data analytics environments preferred.
- Willingness to learn and support cross-functional engineering processes.
