Summary:

Perform complex trade studies modeling simulations and other analyses to predict component interconnect and system performance optimizing designs for E3 (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects) performance.
Work under minimal direction to ensure Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of electronics wiring and structural components.
Interface with manufacturing teams to address complex E3 design aspects and coordinate with suppliers to ensure system-level compatibility.
Report technical progress issues and resolutions to program management and customers.
Support project management by developing work statements budgets schedules and conducting appropriate reviews.
Develop and implement test automation for aircraft modifications.
Apply EMI engineering expertise to document and resolve complex technical challenges.
Conduct analyses modeling and simulation to optimize component and system performance.
Apply conversion correction and antenna factors to EMI/EMC analyses and tests.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings in technical review boards.
Compile engineering data into comprehensive reports tables and visual summaries.

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Bachelors degree and 9 years of related experience or Masters degree with 7 years of experience or Ph.D. with 4 years of experience.
Degree in Engineering Computer Science Mathematics Physics or Chemistry from an accredited program.
Strong understanding of electromagnetic concepts including RF isolation shielding grounding and filtering.
Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
7 years of related work experience (Expert Level).
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
Knowledge of MIL-STD-461/464 and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC standards.
Prior experience with Aerospace Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3).
Experience with EMI qualification testing for aircraft LRUs including reviewing procedures and test reports.
Familiarity with aircraft-level E3 requirements and test methods within MIL-STD-464.
Knowledge of electrical bonding best practices for E3 compliance.
Background in RF systems and/or computational E3 analytical software tools.
ABET accreditation preferred but not required.
