Job Description:
A well-established company in the wine and beverage industry is seeking a creative and detail-oriented NPD & Design Coordinator to join their team in Stellenbosch.
This role combines graphic design packaging development and project coordination supporting the New Product Development (NPD) process from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities- Provide in-house graphic design and packaging artwork services.
- Liaise with sales teams and clients to interpret and meet design requirements.
- Prepare and submit artwork for certification approvals and printing.
- Approve final proofs and first production runs to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Source and manage dry goods (labels cartons closures etc.) ensuring quality cost-effectiveness and compliance.
- Coordinate and manage new product development projects through all stages.
- Work closely with the NPD and Production teams to ensure product specifications are correct and on time.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant wine labelling legislation.
- Maintain accurate administrative and project documentation.
- Support health safety and housekeeping standards within the department.
Minimum Requirements- Grade 12 (Matric)
- A minimum 3-year Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or related field
- At least 4 years of experience in a similar packaging or design role ideally within the wine or FMCG industry
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator Photoshop and InDesign
- Strong organisational administrative and communication skills
- Knowledge of South African wine label legislation and international labelling requirements
- Valid drivers licence and reliable transport
